About this sanctuary

Verified profile information attributed to the linked sources.

Sanctuary at Solid Rock, the educational animal sanctuary of Solid Rock Community School, is dedicated to providing lifelong, compassionate care for rescued farmed and exotic animals. As the world’s first school-based sanctuary to earn GFAS accreditation, we combine the highest standards of animal welfare with hands-on education through our Sanctuary for Animal and Veterinary Education (S.A.V.E.) program. We are also a licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility, caring for injured and orphaned native wildlife with the goal of successful release whenever possible. Students learn humane animal care, veterinary assisting, conservation, and compassion through supervised experiences with our resident animals. Donations support exceptional animal care, enrichment, habitat improvements, wildlife rehabilitation, and educational programs that inspire the next generation of compassionate animal advocates.
