Account and profile information

The account design collects a first name, full last name, email address, authentication credentials, and records of policy acceptance. A last-initial display preference does not remove the full last name from the account record. Optional profile details include state, contact name, contact email or phone, causes of interest, selected issue sections, and a preset avatar.

Displaying optional direct contact details to other registered users requires a separate choice. Cause-contact participation is optional and subject to review. The account feature does not make contact details available to anonymous visitors. Visibility settings do not mean that authorized administrators cannot inspect records for moderation or support.

Messages, requests, and safety records

Public forms collect the fields shown on each form, such as a name, email address, message, or volunteer interests. Account suggestions, contact requests, abuse reports, moderation decisions, and security or audit events may also be recorded to operate and protect the service. Provide only information needed for the request; do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive third-party records.

Requests and suggestions may be reviewed by authorized operators. Public reference to a support request should follow the selected visibility preference and review safeguards. Submission is not a promise of confidentiality beyond the applicable reviewed policy, nor a guarantee of publication or follow-up.

Sessions and website usage measurement

The application uses cookies for account sessions and, while controlled beta admission is enabled, reviewer access. The website usage collector uses local and session browser storage for pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers, and records metadata such as page views, section interactions, navigation or action clicks, engagement buckets, referral category, and a country hint derived from browser language.

Pseudonymous identifiers are not a guarantee of anonymity. Usage collection is intended to remain separate from account participation and to exclude form contents and direct contact details. Separate security and service logs may record connection or request information for abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Clearing browser storage does not necessarily remove previously stored server records.

Processing, retention, and outside links

Account verification, recovery, and security notifications use the configured mail service when available. The project uses application storage and operational tools for review and service administration. Public-source information may also be organized with data-assisted or AI-assisted tools; sensitive, disputed, privacy, and editorial decisions require review.

Repository controls include record-retention and cleanup mechanisms, but this policy does not promise a fixed retention period, universal deletion, a complete processor list, or a particular storage location. External links lead to services governed by their own policies. Do not assume the project's visibility controls apply after contacting another person or following an outside link.
